RC MAKER Product Description:
Horizontal Rear Post Body Mounts Pro!
These are the MOUNTING HARDWARE ONLY - you will also need to purchase the appropriate HRP Pro Carbon extension plates for your specific model and body style.
We are excited to introduce our new, ultra-lightweight (6.5g/pair), revolutionary body mount system for use with horizontal rear body pillars!
Our original HRP Lite system has taken the world by storm, with thousands of racers choosing to mount their bodywork the better way! After months of feedback from riders around the world, as well as our team riders including Marc Rheinard, Yannic Prumper, Akio Sobue and Nicholas Lee, we set out to further improve what was already an amazing product.
The development of the new HRP Pro!
Now that we had achieved the low weight, we wanted to increase durability so that these body mounts could survive the toughest of drops. We also wanted to make them more user friendly so that they were easier to install and adjust. After months of testing and development, it was clear to us that our new HRP Pro had to be based on a US grade 7075 aluminum mount. With the built in threads, incredible durability and minimal weight, this was clearly the right path for our HRP system.
We then added dowel pins that allow the HRP Pro to be adjusted in 1mm increments and also prevent it from moving if the screws come loose. Plus, it helps you adjust it evenly from left to right too!
Finally, we redesigned the carbon mount to accommodate these locating pins and also added more material around the body mounting hole to improve durability. We went with "1mm clearance" - that is, the holes are now oval with a small amount of vertical clearance to allow the car to flex and move under the body over curbs and bumps.
Advantages of our HRP Pro
The handling benefits of horizontal rear body pillars are undeniable. The downforce transferred to the rear of the body results in significant handling benefits as the downforce is distributed across the chassis and the body adheres better when transitioning from left to right.
However, some of the main issues with this system are durability, rigidity and adjustability.
Durability: The holes in the Lexan are always located close to the skirt, which means they can easily be ripped out or damaged in even the smallest accidents.
Stiffness: This area of the body is very thin and can bend under load, causing downforce to not be distributed as efficiently.
Adjustability: The height adjustability of the body depends exclusively on the attachment to the chassis, which is not necessarily adjustable in fine increments or easy to adjust.
Our new Horizontal Rear Post Body Mounting Set improves ALL of these areas!
Durability is significantly increased as there are now no more holes in the rear part of the body. The connection is made via the 2mm thick carbon extension and the 7075 aluminum bracket, which is connected directly to the wing strut.
Rigidity has been dramatically improved as the body is now attached to the car via a solid, extremely stiff combination of carbon fibre and 7075 aluminium. This provides maximum downforce transfer to the rear of the car and ensures that the aerodynamics of the body/wing are fully transferred to the car. Use our 7075 Ultra Lite Touring Car Wing Buttons for maximum rigidity of your HRP PRO found.
Adjustability is paramount, and our HRP Pro are able to be adjusted in 1mm increments with a total of 9mm of travel. Simply loosen the screws, slide the carbon extension up or down into the other notches, tighten firmly. It's important to note that the screws do not need to be tightened as much as previous versions, as the locking tabs prevent slipping during falls.
All of this gives you an absolutely perfect solution to transfer the maximum amount of downforce to your car while keeping the body more rigidly attached to the rear of your car than ever before. The mount is very stable so you can stay on the track in case of accidents and not have to replace a body just because the holes have been damaged or ripped out. The adjustability that these mounts offer is a necessity to adjust the tilt and height of your body.
Our new Horizontal Rear Post Body Mount Kit Pro is transferable from body to body and is designed to securely mount the fender and stiffen the fender brace to prevent deformation at high speeds and in crashes.
The best part is that it makes body assembly an absolute breeze! No more drilling rear holes, just drill the front holes and screw the mounts on! We recommend using body pins on both sides of the body to ensure maximum rigidity.

assembly instructions
Attach the Carbon HRP Pro Extensions (sold separately) to the 7075 Alu HRP Pro Wing Mounts at the desired height and tighten the M2 screws securely. Make sure the arrows engraved on the carbon extensions are pointing towards the outside of the car, one will be on the front, one on the back when installed correctly. This will offset both holes of the carbon fiber extension to the outside.
Drill a hole in the wing strut that lines up with the HRP Pro Wing Mount thread. Mount the wing mounts into the wing strut and attach the wing. We recommend using our 7075 Ultra Lite Touring Car Wing Buttons as they follow the profile of the mount and provide additional rigidity. Plus they look great!
After assembly, loosen the M2 screws in the extensions and adjust the body to the desired height and tighten them firmly.
Add body pins or adjusters as a front stop to keep the extension from sliding too far forward on the post, and trim the body post to allow 2-3 holes to protrude behind the bracket to insert body pins.
