RC Maker product description
Our Bulkhead Alignment Multi-Tool for the Mugen MTC2R is here!
With a similar design to the original MSE plate, MTC2 allows drivers to align their bulkheads at a right angle, which is absolutely crucial to having a perfect car.
Since the caster is ultimately determined by the angle of the upper bulkhead, any inaccuracy in the bulkhead alignment is transferred to the suspension.
The multi-tool is attached to the wedged areas of the bulkheads and then secured with M3 head screws.
It can be used with an assembled car, all that needs to be removed are the upper bulkheads and diff and spool.
We have also built some other cool features into the tool.
We have a Quick Check that can be slipped under the rear body mount or front bulkheads to quickly check if you have any alignment issues!
The other cool feature is the track width measurement.
Simply align one side with the edge of your tire and see what measurement the other side shows.
A simple but cool integration that will prove very useful when testing and tuning on the race track!
Characteristics:
Aligns all 4 bulkheads at once
"Quick Check" function for adjusting the bulkheads
tool for measuring the track width
Lightweight design with only 15g
Engraved RC MAKER logo and engraved white gauge
2mm 3K Carbon Fiber, made in Australia
Instructions for use:
Remove upper bulkheads and spool/diff from the car
Loosen the bulkheads from the chassis with 1/4 turn per screw
Loosen the top deck by turning each screw 1/4 turn.
Lay the car flat on the setup board and attach the plate over the battery side of the car
Align the holes on the carbon plate with the bulkheads and lightly tighten all 4 bolts at each end of the vehicle.
Turn the vehicle upside down and tighten the bottom bolts.
Turn the vehicle upright again and tighten the upper deck bolts.
Remove the carbon alignment tool
Install the spool, diff and upper bulkheads and tighten them.
You now have perfectly aligned lower and upper bulkheads!
